Frequently asked questions
Upon arrival after introductions, we’ll have a chat about the consultation form you’ve filled in when booking and go through your reasons for choosing the treatment, so we can make sure we tailor it uniquely for your needs. We’ll cover any conditions, concerns and contraindications before we leave you to undress and get on the massage bed. You will be covered with towels/blankets and only the area being treated will be uncovered.
Throughout the treatment we’ll ensure you’re comfortable and you are welcome to chat if you wish, but most people enjoy relaxing in the quiet and it’s common to fall asleep.
We’ll let you know once the treatment has come to an end, and leave you to dress in private. We’ll provide you with a complementary drink as we advise you on some aftercare and you’re welcome to relax for 10 minutes before heading off.
And don’t worry, you can keep your knickers on or get totally starkers, however you’re most comfortable – we don’t treat anyone totally uncovered; we retain the modesty of both the therapist and the client at all times.
In the world of the professional Massage Therapist, we’ve seen more wobbly bits than a jelly factory. We don’t care whether you’re big or small, tall or short, any more than we care about your race or sexual preference.
We love people, and we’re here to make you feel happy and healed. So come on, get your kit off* and get on the table!
*You can keep your underwear on 🙂 We’ll cover you with a towel so please don’t be worried.
YES, PLEASE DO!
If you have a body and a brain I can help relax them both!
Please note I unfortunately don’t have wheelchair access, so you will need to be able to get down a couple of small stairs for treatment, sorry.
In a word, no. Please consider us massaging folk in all of this – our hands are our livelihood, we can’t take risks on something contagious.
Take a visit to your GP or a chiropodist before you come to us 🙂

We’ve taken all neccessary precautions as outlined by government guidelines and under the advice of our professional bodies. Please see our Covid-19 Policy page for more information.
- Please arrive on time. Appointments are staggered with 30 minutes between to allow for cleaning, so if you arrive early, you may not be able to enter, and late arrivals will have their treatment cut short.
- Please don’t bring anyone to your appointment. Only 1 person will be permitted entry to the premises.
- Please wear a face covering. You will be required to wear this at all times where possible. I will have disposable masks available for a £1 charge. If you have a medical exemption please contact me before booking your appointment.
- Please bring your own bottled water. I will no longer be providing drinks facilities, and it is imperative you hydrate post-treatment, so please bring your own.
- Please keep belongings to a minimum. We are trying to minimise risk, so if possible, leave jackets and bags at home or in the car.
What’s changed in the shop?
- There will be no in person consultation. Please ensure you adequately complete your consultation form and health screening prior to your appointment, so we can discuss any issues via phone or email beforehand.
- Conversation is to be kept to a minimum. Government guidelines advise that when indoors we should keep a 2m distance where possible, along with PPE, and minimal conversation.
- No more heated bed. Soft furnishings have been removed to ensure best hygiene. Bed will be stripped and disinfected between each client. If you prefer to bring your own towels or bed coverings, please let me know.
- My new uniform. Government requirements mean I am to wear a type 2 face covering as well as a visor. I’m still me under all that, so try not to let it put you off!
- Ventilation. I have provided an air purifier, and opened windows where possible.
Make sure you rest, and hydrate – that’s the most important!
