The Story so Far…

Well hello there, thanks for visiting. Some of you visitants already know me, but for you newcomers, I should start by introducing myself…

I’m Kat. I’m a Holistic Therapist and Psychology & Counselling student.  A few words to describe me – from clients; ‘warm’, ‘amazing’ and ‘a healer’.  My friends (under no duress) chose ‘smart, creative & kind’,’fun’ and even ‘inspirational’ (and definitely didn’t say ‘witchy, wine & dank memes’).  I’m also hilarious, provided you’re a fan of terrible puns & dad jokes.  Apparently I’m one of those friendly, easy to be around types, charming even at times.  Ironic then, that my mental health can be utterly debilitating.

Enough about me for now – you’re probably wondering what the point in this is, right? I do like to take the scenic route.  Simply put, this blog will be an honest and frank approach to ‘Holistic Health’ – talking about all the things that affect us physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually and what we try to do to adapt, self-manage and attempt to maintain balance.

I’ll candidly publish my innermost thoughts, drawing on my own personal experiences with trauma & mental health; and from a professional standpoint with physical therapies, energy healing & herbal remedies, (as well as extensive desk jockeying feats in a previous life).  We’ll peruse popular self-management techniques, like mindfulness, and explore top tips on topics such as self massage & meditation. From toxic relationships to self-love, grief to revelations, together we’ll explore stories from those brave enough to share; stories that we can learn from & build upon to better ourselves – and each other.

If you’re looking for all the answers in a place where things make sense, this isn’t it. But if you want a community where we all look out for each other, a safe space where you might come to the realisation that you’re not alone in how you’re feeling, then please make yourself comfortable. I’m here, just muddling along, trying to just be. Let’s help each other, eh?
